Craig told Evelyn the truth and covered for Jack, but Henry was taken in and spilled the beans. Jack confessed. Carly insisted that Jack could not sacrifice himself that way, but he sent her away for her own protection. Evelyn arrested Rose, Emily, Craig, Henry, and Jack. Hal blamed Barbara for the whole mess and declared she should be home, waiting to hear from Paul.

Carly and Rosanna squared off. Carly maintained she was not involved in the fiasco, and Rosanna's troubles were of her own making. They fought about who had reached out to whom in their relationship and who had been hurt the most. Carly revealed that Craig was indeed infatuated with her, but she had told him to get over it. Hal overheard Rosanna swear she was going to vanish Carly from her life permanently.

Molly tended to Dusty's wound. He said that he owed Spangler a lot of money and asked her to stay with him awhile. As Molly tried to think up wways to get Dusty out of trouble, she realized that he might be trying to con her. Dusty denied he was trying to set her up, and he threw her out of his suite. Molly took her confusion to Brackett who, when he found out Dusty worked for Spangler, wanted nothing more to do with him. When Molly got into her car, a desperate Dusty popped up, declaring that he needed her help.

John urged Bob to step down as the head of the hospital, even if he wasn't responsible for the latest death. Bob thought John was pushing him to step down prematurely. John admitted to Rick that he would like to be the new head. Meanwhile, Chris talked to Nancy about confronting Bob. Nancy agreed to do so but advised Chris not to jump to conclusions that it was Alzheimer's. Kim and Chris took Nancy to Bob, and she appealed to him to see a specialist. He agreed, making an appointment with Rick, and admitted to Kim that he was scared.

Craig turned to Rosanna for help with Barbara, but she refused. Sierra backed her up. Invigorated by cutting Craig loose, Rosanna decided she'd do the same to Carly. The women left, and Marshall gave Craig his business card. Later, Craig proposed a solution to Evelyn and called Marshall Travers.

At Hal's, Carly heard Jack leave a message for her, telling her how much he loved her. Parker drew as a sad Carly wrote a note. Rosanna observed from the window when Will arrived home and startled her. Rosanna left, but soon after, alerted by Will, Carly rushed after her. Jack got Henry to recant his accusations, and Hal released him to get Carly. Jack found only Alison and did not see the note Carly had written that was under Parker's drawing.

Marshall witnessed Barbara's delight in telling Sierra, Lucy, and Aaron that Craig was in jail. Sierra assured Lucy that she and Rosanna were giving Craig a reality check and letting him stand on his own two feet. Marshall wondered if Barbara was in trouble again, but she rejected any offer of his assistance.

Molly drove Dusty to the old mill to hide out. She informed him that the FBI was backing off the case, since they knew Spangler was involved. Before Molly could leave, Spangler's thugs arrived and strung up Dusty, demanding money. As Molly was held outside, Dusty was beaten to a pulp inside the mill. Molly ran inside, saying that she would pay whatever they wanted if they stopped.

Despite Dusty's protest, the thugs struck a deal with Molly, who promised to take a check to McCann the next day by noon. When she left, Spangler reminded Dusty that the threat was real; his life was in Molly's hands.

Emily, Rose, and Craig all made bail; however, Henry did not. Craig told Margo that Barbara would drop the charges because his lawyer, Marshall Travers, was very persuasive. Margo reminded him that Marshall was a rapist. Meanwhile, Marshall went to see Barbara to see if she'd drop the charges in exchange for a large financial settlement. He told her that if Craig were prosecuted, he'd get him off.

Barbara said she'd make a deal on her own terms. Marshall also encouraged her to drop the charges against all of them in return for something that she wanted. Barbara decided that she wanted Craig to sell Monte Carlo to her for one dollar and "not a cent more" -- and she wanted an answer in one hour. With that deal, Barbara was convinced she'd have her son back again.

Craig went to the farm to see if Rosanna was there. Emma said that she hadn't returned the night before. Rosanna walked in dirty and disheveled. She said that her car had broken down, and her cell phone battery had gone dead, so she had waited until morning and had walked home. Craig tried to help her, but Rosanna pushed him away. Craig told her that he wanted to take her home. Rosanna said she realized that she would never be the true center of his attention.

Craig kissed Rosanna, and she said, "You think that solves everything, don't you?" She told him that he needed to show her what he had shown everyone else because she felt like she didn't even know him anymore. Rosanna said that he always needed things from her, but she never got what she needed from him. Craig said he'd give her whatever she needed, but all she asked for was some time.

Craig left and took a call from Marshall, who told him about Barbara's offer. Craig told him to take it then turned around and went back to see Rosanna. He asked if he could put their previous conversation -- about leaving her alone and not asking for things -- on hold because he needed something from her.

Emily returned home, and Alison was surprised she was out of jail. Alison also wondered why she got punished for burning down the barn, but Emily didn't get punished for kidnapping Barbara. Later, Emily apologized to Alison for doing a stupid thing and jeopardizing their family.

Dusty and Spangler were waiting for Molly to arrive with the money. She met McCann, and Mike saw them arguing and rushed to her rescue. McCann said that Molly was his girlfriend and forced Molly to kiss him. Mike was disgusted to see them kiss. Meanwhile, Dusty was getting roughed up, and Spangler said that he had never liked him. Molly went to Dusty and told him that she had given McCann the money to keep Dusty from being killed. They talked, and Dusty thanked her for helping him but said he was leaving town after just one stop.

Rose met with Lily for breakfast at Al's Diner. Lily told Rose that Dusty had asked her to buy him out of the shop, and she had agreed. The shop was all Rose's, but she said it was not the same without Dusty there to share it. Lily said Rose was just infatuated by him. Rose said that he did care for her because, in the end, he couldn't lie to her.

Lily asked if Dusty had never arrived in town, whether Rose would have married Paul. Rose said, "I hope not." She said she had kept trying to make it fit, but she had procrastinated for a reason -- it just wasn't meant to be between her and Paul. Hal found Rose at Al's Diner and said he had some information about Paul. He told her that Paul's plane had gone down in the Atlantic.

Rose, reeling from Hal's news that Paul's plane had gone down but hopeful that he might still be alive, headed off to the Roller Palace. A battered Dusty found her there and admitted he had been lying when he had said he didn't care about her, because he did. Hal showed up and informed her that Paul was dead. Rose went ballistic, and Dusty grabbed her up in his arms.

Barbara was excited about Monte Carlo and started packing to go in search of Paul. Will visited, concerned about what he had heard. Barbara reassured him. She was going to find Paul and Jennifer and take them home. Hal discovered Barbara was gone.

Craig told Rosanna he had agreed to sell Monte Carlo to Barbara. He convinced Rosanna to let go of Monte Carlo. She agreed only if he would allow Lucy to see Aaron and never fight about it again. Craig went off to make the arrangements while Rosanna told Emma that Craig wanted to make another go of their marriage. She stated cryptically that she had made her peace with Carly.

Meanwhile, Jack was worried when he couldn't find Carly. Katie filled in Mike on the events of the fashion show and assumed he would go off to find Carly. Instead, Mike said he was taking Katie's "stay away" advice. He kissed Katie in thanks, but she pointed out that friends didn't kiss on the lips. Mike agreed not to do it again.

Bonnie imagined her upcoming day of community service. Optimistic, Bonnie arrived at the center and was immediately put to menial work by the director, Troy. After knocking over a table with the center's lunch fixings for the kids, Bonnie met a beautiful but quiet girl named Sarah. Bonnie thought she was making inroads with Sarah but soon realized her overtures were for naught. She started to wonder if maybe she was in over her head. She lied to Isaac that her day at the community center had been swell.

At Memorial Hospital, John Dixon asked Katie if she had seen Bob the day his patient had died. She lied and said she hadn't. Alison questioned her about the lie and told her to talk to Chris about it. Katie did tell Chris that she had seen Bob that day and that he had been acting a little out of it. Chris went to John and told him to stop spreading rumors about his father.

John said he wasn't slandering Bob, but he was looking out for the welfare of the hospital. Rick and John also shared words about Bob. Meanwhile, Bob went to Rick, who performed cognitive dysfunction and memory loss tests. He told Bob that he'd have the results in about a week.

Craig went home, and Sierra told Craig to put aside his pride and to give Rosanna a second chance. She said that Rosanna "gets it" and knew what it was like to be a good parent. Craig didn't want to agree to Rosanna's stipulations because he said Aaron was wrong for Lucy. Sierra reminded him that it was Lucy's choice, not theirs. Just then, Aaron and Lucy walked in, and Sierra made Craig tell them that they could see each other. Aaron questioned Craig's intentions and was afraid that he would still make trouble for them. Sierra confirmed Craig's intentions by saying that she had two first-class tickets to Montega for them, so if Craig didn't abide by the rules then they were welcome to join Sierra.

At the farm, Rosanna told Emma that she'd had a fight with Carly the night before and had even told her to leave town. Jack arrived at the farm and questioned Rosanna about the last time she had seen Carly. He asked Rosanna for the truth and told her that he knew she had been at Hal's, looking at Carly through the window. Rosanna said she had been there, but once she had seen Parker, she had left because she hadn't wanted to yell at Carly in front of him.

Rosanna admitted she had said she'd be happy if Carly vanished, but she was not responsible for Carly being missing. Jack wondered about her scar and said he wanted to check out the story about her car breaking down. Emma said she knew that Rosanna wouldn't hurt her sister. Jack was convinced that Rosanna was lying, and he told her so. He told her that he thought she knew more than she was telling and that she'd better stay close to home.

Rose was very upset after learning about Paul's death, and Dusty tried to comfort her. She said it was their fault that Paul was gone because he had lost his will to live and, "He deserved better from both of us." Dusty said that if Paul had lost his will, it had been because of him and not Rose. Dusty said that she just hadn't been in love with Paul the way he had wanted her to be. Dusty told Rose he didn't want her to be alone right then.

Holden and Lily went to the beauty shop to comfort Rose. Holden told Dusty to leave Rose alone, but Dusty said he'd wait to hear that from her. Holden and Dusty gave each other a look that could kill, and then Dusty left. As he was leaving, Dusty said, "Paul Ryan was my best friend."

Rose told Lily that she wanted to have a memorial service for Paul. Lily wanted her to go home with them, but Rose wanted to be alone for a little while. After they left, Rose called Dusty and told him not to leave town. He said he'd stay and help her get through the troubled time.
