The Young and the Restless' Jordi Vilasuso (ex-Ray Rosales) and his wife share an important update after having a huge scare when their newborn daughter fell ill and had to be admitted to the NICU.

It's been a harrowing few weeks for Jordi Vilasuso (ex-Rey Rosales, The Young and the Restless) and his wife Kaitlin. Just a short time after their January 6 announcement of the birth of their third daughter, Lucy Noelle, the couple's joy quickly turned into every parent's worst nightmare. Little Lucy fell ill with RSV and had to be admitted to the NICU with a partially collapsed right lung.

On January 25, Vilasuso and Kaitlin shared the scary news on Instagram. The post featured a photo of poor little Lucy on oxygen and another photo of her hooked up to monitors in NICU. "Ah friends.. we come to you coveting your prayers yet again. I feel like all I do is ask you all for prayers or thank you for prayers.. I suppose that is just the season we're in right now. We found out Monday that Lucy had RSV and by Monday night she had been admitted to the hospital w/ difficulty breathing," the message began.

Thankfully, those prayers were answered, and the actor and his wife gave a much-welcomed update on February 7 that little Lucy was home. The Instagram post featured a series of heartwarming photos of each of the parents holding their precious daughter close, a handmade sign by sisters Riley and Everly welcoming Lucy home, and finally, a sweet photo of Lucy's sisters. Kaitlin wrote, "Lucy is HOME 😭🙏🏻 Thank you thank you thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the outpouring of love and every.single.prayer (!!) lifted up for our sweet baby. We are so so happy to have her home and healthy (Lord please help us keep her healthy 😩🙏🏻) and for us to be back together under one roof. I missed that so much."

Kaitlin included a thank you to Children's Hospital L.A. for how well everyone had taken care of Lucy, especially her NICU nurses "who are angels taking care of baby angels day in and day out." She concluded her message of gratitude by thanking their friends and admitting that she was glad to be posting happy baby/family updates.

Vilasuso started his daytime career with his role as GL's Tony, which he played from 2001 to 2003 and won a Daytime Emmy for in 2003. He then went on to play All My Children's Dr. Griffin Castillo from 2010 to 2011 and Days of our Lives' Dario Hernandez from 2016 to 2017. Vilasuso appeared on The Young and the Restless from 2018 through his surprise 2022 exit.

A flood of well wishes for Lucy's continued recovery poured in from the daytime community.
