One Life to Live is still a couple of weeks from broadcasting its first episode, but the soap already has its first behind-the-scenes shakeup. One of the show's co-head writers is stepping down.

The cast of One Life to Live gathered earlier this week to tape the show's new opening credits. Behind-the-scenes, however, One Life to Live will have to move on without one of its key creative components.

Susie Bedsow Horgan is leaving her position as co-head writer of One Life to Live. Sources tell Soap Central that it was Horgan's decision to leave.

"We want to thank Susie for her contribution to One Life to Live. She is moving on and we wish her well," Prospect Park said in a statement. "We have an extraordinary writer's room at the show and we are looking forward to fans seeing what they've been up to when we launch on April 29th."

Thom Racina will remain with the show as head writer. It has not yet been announced if One Life to Live will seek another co-writer for Racina.

Meanwhile, the first production cycle of the show continues in earnest through Friday, April 12.
