Jon Lindstrom is almost unrecognizable in his new movie role

General Hospital's Jon Lindstrom (Kevin Collins/Ryan Chamberlain) is completely unrecognizable in his new horror thriller The Great Illusion.

Abracadabra, presto change-o! With one swoop of the wand (hair and makeup wand, that is), General Hospital star Jon Lindstrom has gone from clean cut Port Charles character Kevin Collins to a super sleazy pimp for his new flick.

The Oregon native has taken on the role of Vincent in the upcoming film The Great Illusion, which costars Selma Blair, Graham Greene, Bill Bellamy, and Julie Gonzalo. And even though he declared on Twitter that he's excited to be taking on this particular role, he also admits he's a bit scared, as well.

Day 14 for them. Day 1 for me. So excited (and scared) to be "Vincent"! #TheGreatIllusion

Perhaps the reason for the anxiety is that Lindstrom has a completely new look for the Maria Gabriela Cardenas movie -- so much so that he truly does look like another person entirely.

"Je suis Vincent. Je suis en pimp," the actor teased on Twitter along with a sneak peek preview of what Vincent will look like on-screen.

Being an actor requires complete physical and emotional transformations, but it's pretty rare that a daytime star has the opportunity to change his or her appearance so much that they're dang near unrecognizable. That's why daytime fans will no doubt want to check out Lindstrom in The Great Illusion when it's released.

Meanwhile, speaking of changes, many GH viewers are convinced that Kevin has been acting so weird lately that there's a big chance that he's actually not even Kevin at all but rather the character's evil twin brother, Ryan Chamberlain. As longtime fans might remember, Ryan was the first of the two brothers to make an appearance in Port Charles; he arrived in 1992 as a pediatrician at General Hospital -- but it was soon revealed that he was mentally unstable and had even murdered his wife, Gloria. Kevin was introduced in the story to rehabilitate his unstable brother after he became obsessed with Felicia (Kristina Wagner) and nearly killed her. A couple of years later, Ryan kidnapped Felicia's daughter, Georgie Jones, and ended up dying in a funhouse explosion. Kevin is still haunted by the tragic experience to this day, and some fans suspect Ryan survived and is set on getting revenge.

Time will tell whether or not Ryan really is back in Port Charles, and while it seems unlikely, it's not impossible. After all, it wasn't long ago that GH tricked viewers when it was revealed that Anna was really her twin sister, Alex.

In addition to Ryan and Kevin, Lindstrom's daytime résumé also includes roles as Mark on Santa Barbara and Craig on As the World Turns. He's also made appearances in series like Blue Bloods, True Detective, and S.W.A.T..

As for The Great Illusion, the film tells the story of a tortured FBI agent who suffers from an irrational fear of darkness, which affects his job of investigating a mysterious former prostitute in order to catch a vicious serial killer. Being that he's a pimp, Lindstrom's character will likely hold a few crucial clues to the investigation.

What do you think about Lindstrom's dramatic transformation for The Great Illusion? What do you think about the premise for the film? And do you think Ryan has made a return to Port Charles?
